Some Feedback from 2016 & 2017

I loved Song Village! I knew no one, didn’t know what to expect except to get to sing. It was so much more than I expected!!! It was more fun, deeper and completely different than anything else I’ve ever experienced. I love to sing and have since I was a child and we sang non-stop. I am fed by being around other people who walk a spiritual path and was pleasantly surprised by the depth of spirituality of the people and music. Being playful is one of the “songs of my life”. I look for opportunities to help laughter happen. It is one of life’s balms. We laughed and sang and were purposely engaging in fun….loved it! Song Village was such a pleasure for all of these reasons and so many more….the dancing, the meals, the shared work, the setting….a very healing space.

At one of the jam sessions and on the way home I was touched by Amy’s song, “ThankYou”. I fought to live as a sickly child, and because of that, I have woken up most mornings with the feeling of that song in my heart. Life is such a gift, love is such a gift. It was beautiful the way Amy put it together. I felt like someone was singing me a “song of my heart”.

I’m still feeling so much depth and gratitude for this last weekend and for all of the heartfelt moments that I experienced. My needs for community, support, transparency, fun, expression, generosity, harmony, creativity and so much more were met and my cup is full! Now I can share all that was given to me out into the world and I have a received a clear message from that still small voice within for more! If you experienced a connection with me, lets be “friends”.

Song Village was a remarkable gathering! So many amazing singers and musicians sharing their gifts, both during the scheduled sessions and in between.  After 3 days singing my heart open I left feeling ecstatic, moved, inspired and ready for more! See you next year, Tim and Amy!

As I write this you are still up in the mountains, singing and I’m sure getting higher and higher in the ecstasy of song, music, shared community and connection. Even just being there for the few hours I was the first part of Friday, when I came back down the mountain I felt altered, and my heart is still humming from the beauty of it all. Tim, I loved the exercise you led us in – standing in front of a stranger, and taking a moment to behold them in love. So beautiful! So healing.

What a delight the weekend was for us. We focused on making things simple for ourselves– so we mostly attended the Meadow events. Everything we attended was deep and rich– we spent time connecting while stretching our musical capacities. What a wonderful weekend. Missing it already.
